Shobha De’s frustration!
Shobha De is an Indian Author who is also known for sex in her fictions, recently tweeted a controversial statement in her recent tweet. Shobha De tweets ” Goal of team India at the Olympics: Rio jao. Selfie Lo. Khaali haat wapas aao. What a waste of money and opportunity”.
The Author’s statement was disturbing and soon was bombarded with comments from many politicians and fans.
Abhinav Bindra a former five times Olympian tweets back to Shobha De ” that’s a tad unfair. you should be proud of your athletes pursuing human excellence against the whole world”.
The prime minister of India Narender Modi then tweeted, ” India is phenomenally proud of all our athletes Rio and their hard work that got them there. Victory and setbacks are all a part of life”.
Actress of Queen, Kangana Ranaut tweeted “Official apathy main reason why we fare so poorly during every Olympics, not just Rio. Difficult for athletes to ‘compete’ with this hurdle”.
Shobha De who is mostly famous for the sex in her fiction is married to a successful Mumbai-based businessman Dilip De. The couple has six children together which is also a story itself.
This controversial tweet by Shoba De definitely would not do any good for the Indian athletes in Rio, but definitely got De family some desperately needed attention. Is it a frustration of Mrs. De? Or the Indian athletes have been really been returning back to home empty handed for many years? Either way, the tweets from such a well know the author is a true disgrace for the Indian team in Rio Olympic games.
But why someone so prominent and moneyed like Shobha De would make a comment about something like Rio Olympic games?
Shobha’s controversial tweets such as “Modi, the rock star”, body shaming the royalty, at war with Dadagiri and much more made headlines.
Shobha’s tweet, ” I ate beef, come and kill me”. Not very classy of you Shobha!
In her early days, she gained fame writing fiction and sex in her work in early 90’s when she was also a model. The freedom and charisma were there to write, but today she is married to a well know Dilip De. Is being married a true frustration for not being able to write about sex?
Are all the controversial tweets are the way to obtain some publicity while the charisma of writing sex is dead?
Whatever it is? For sure Shoba De knows how to remain in the news. However, we don’t really mind reading some fiction of a “cougar”.
